Play by Play & Broadcast Personnel

In Andrew's second year with the Blue Sox he earned the promotion to Director of Broadcast and Media. He was tasked with producing and directing every home game for Valley on ESPN+, one of three teams to air every game on the platform. He worked a sponsorship deal with the UMass Journalism Department for camera equipment to upgrade the broadcast capabilities. Along adding a PTZ camera behind home plate and wiring cameras to each dugout (over 1000ft of wires in total), the Blue Sox used six cameras (including multiple wireless), instant replay, and a full ESPN graphics package throughout the season. Before the season, Andrew was given raw photoshop files and spent countless hours translating and animating into NewBlue TitlerLive in order to have the ESPN look, these efforts made the team's broadcast stand out from the rest of the league. Andrew started his time in Holyoke, MA as a Broadcast Intern, where he called every game, traveling with the team throughout New England. While doing this he learned how to set up and run a multi-camera broadcast, with multiple "trial" games aired on ESPN+ in 2023 in preparation for the role he would step into in 2024.

As a senior, White was selected to be the co-voice of the women's basketball team with 91.1 WMUA Sports. This included traveling with the team as well as hosting a
bi-weekly coaches show with
first- year head coach Mike Leflar!
Also, Andrew was a practice player for the team for three seasons. Seeing a March Madness appearance and an Atlantic 10 regular season championship.

Andrew currently works as a Statistics Analyst I at ESPN. His responsibilites include monitoring live stats from various sports to ensure accuracy and compatibility with ESPN programs such as the Eapp, Website, Fantasy, and more!

When available, Andrew freelances at Fairfield University, helping out on all things broadcast production.

White was the lead broadcaster for men's and women's soccer, baseball, and softball during his senior year. He also was responsible for scheduling student talent for games.

In his third year working a fully student run high school basketball tournament, Andrew led the charge to broadcast the games on YouTube. Using the equipment he learned with the Valley Blue Sox, the PVTO successfully aired every game with custom graphics to elevate the sponsorship opportunities for the event!
